Happy Halloween to all those out there in Jishman Land… I thought you would all enjoy carving a virtual pumpkin on this nice (warm) fall day…

Online Pumpkin Carving

So damn funny!

It truly makes me wonder sometimes. As recently as 2 weeks ago, the Knicks were saying that there was no way they were going to trade Jalen Rose’s expiring contract. No, let me try again, Isaiah Thomas said there was no way they were going to trade Jalen Rose’s expiring contract. “Sure we’ve have offers,” Thomas claimed, “but we’re not trading him.”

You see, expiring contracts are like gold in the NBA. You can trade them away for a great many things, young players, draft choices…alright, just those two, if you’re smart, but then again, Zeke isn’t smart. What does he go and do?

HE WAIVES JALEN ROSE! He. Waived. Jalen. Rose. I don’t care what anyone says. Seriously. He’s a fool! An absolute, complete and utter fool! He released an expiring contract and got nothing in exchange for it. NOTHING!!!

Oh yes, folks, “Ranty Jish” is back.

Looking for the reference to “Worst Twins Ever?”….. this might help….just…Google it, baby!!!!

any questions?!

Many of you do not know them, but for those who do, CONGRATS to our friends Rachel and Sarah on their newly born son (name to be released next Friday). The new bouncing baby boy was born on October 27, 2006 at 2:25pm, weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and he was 20.25 inches. Moms and baby are healthy and happy.

Congrats again to the both of them and their families from eveveryone here!

So, as I say on numerous occasions, I’m not an expert in a great many things….actually, I’d like to think I dabble in quite a few things but am an expert in nothing but sarcasm.

That having been said, there are certain things that annoy me. Cilantro especially, for example. No food should taste like soap…and yet, there it is, just mocking me from its place high up on the ladder of things that upset me. Luckily for me, there’s now apparenty a support group for people like me: IHateCilantro.com. While these people are a bit more forceful than I am about it (the above paragraph notwithstanding), the sentiment is still there.

But as for other things that are pissing me off — because I needed more things — I’ve decided that the various and assundry governments are going to get my ire today. Let’s take a look at what morons are doing today, shall we? (Dumbass nominees, anyone?)

EDITOR’S NOTE: I know I don’t like talking about politics here (nor anyone else doing so), therefore, please be warned. The following people are all politicians or are discussing a political solution in some way.

Do you remember the classic 1970s cartoon School House rocks and their “I’m Just a Bill Sitting Here on Capitol Hill” song? This is a classic parody done on the Daily Show with John Stewart about Midterm elections…

So, as if I didn’t have to mock NBC for their seeming inability to make decisions and stick by them, now, ONE DAY after announcing they were getting rid of all 8pm original programming, they’ve apparently decided, “whoops, our bad, let’s try that ‘must-see-tv-thing’. It worked so well when we had that guy who always said ‘what’s the deal with that” and are now going to put 30 Rock and Scrubs on Thursdays with My Name is Earl and The Office.

Dear NBC, this is a great idea. What the F@#@%$!#$!@ stopped you from doing this in the first F-ING place!?!??!!? Why all the switching around of good shows to crappy time slots!?!? I still hate you.

Sincerely,
Hatey McHates-you (its hyphenated)

In the spirit of TV Squad, I’d tend to agree with their assessment. Put programming non-football fans will watch on Monday nights opposite MNF. Put programming people like or would like to see not opposite anything with the initials C, S or I. My problem with NBC right now is they promoted the sh#@$ out of Studio 60 and are wondering why its doing badly against a show that has been number one in its time slot since it came on the air 5 years ago (CSI: Miami).

But seriously, I don’t think TVSpuad’s assessment was terrible. I even like NBC’s decision to move all of their comedies over to one night, I just wish there were better shows on.

This game will drive you crazy….

my best score so far is 27…. what is yours?!

I mean, I admit, quitting Coke was tough for me, but I didn’t think I had power over the market. Coke’s profits are down.

My friend Jim sent me the following link entitled…Scariest Halloween Card Ever!

I know we stay away from such topics at RMTJ but it was too funny…. if you don’t have a sense of humor, please… just don’t click the link below.

Scariest Halloween Card Ever

It was bad enough that Rocky VI is coming in February…. looks like we have Rambo IV in production…

Sylvester Stallone will spend several weeks in Thailand early next year, shooting “Rambo IV: In the Serpent’s Eye” in the country’s lush, mountainous northern provinces, said Wanasiri Morakul, director of the Thailand Film Office.

Has it really gotten this bad that the movie industry needs Rocky VI and Rambo IV to bring people back to the movie theaters?! I sincerely hope not!

Can I please respectfully submit the Movie Industry for DoTW awards based on this evidence alone?!

Haven’t we had enough of “Reality invading the TV universe”? I’m no expert in television programming, but I don’t care. THIS SUCKS! This is the beginning of the death of creativity in American Television broadcasting. I’m sorry, I mean, I know I’m not supposed to care about TV. Its just television, its not important to most of America. But for so many years, television has been what inspired so many people to be writers, actors, comedians, filmmakers, and that’s just to name a few. Its been television primarily, for so many people, not movies, not Broadway (or whatever your local equivilent is), and not Books. Its been television that inspires us, and this is CRAP! This is NBC saying, “we haven’t put out a good product because we’ve made stupid decisions for the last 10 years, so now we’re just going to pack it in, and not even try any longer. No, seriously, we suck at this ‘making-money’ thing.”

ESPN is reporting that the November 12th game between the Giants and the Bears will be moved from their afternoon start to the Sunday night game on NBC.

The 8:30 p.m. ET game will be televised by NBC instead of Fox. Under the format, the Sunday night time slot had been left vacant, with CBS and Fox each allowed to protect five afternoon games over seven weeks of the season. Each has chosen four and will pick one more.

Chicago (6-0) is one of two unbeaten teams in the NFL and will be favored to be 8-0 when it goes to Giants Stadium. The Bears’ next two games are at home against San Francisco (2-4) and Miami (1-6).

I guess those 1972 Dolphins should send the Giants a case of champagne when the Giants make the Bears 8-1 on November 12th!!!!!
